Vladimir Kosma Zworykin, is generally known as the inventor of the camera tube but even now this is still a delicate statement, knowing that Philo Farnsworth developed almost the same also a camera tube. Zworykin became inspired in his student time, around 1910, when he helped his professor Boris Rosing with a private project, trying transmitting pictures with a primitive Braun tube.
Zworykin eventually became director of RCA's electronics research laboratory.
